Position Summary:  

JAAGO Foundation is looking for a committed and experienced Youth Coordinator to join its Youth  Development Program (YDP). This role is central to guiding and supervising district-level Youth  Coordinators, ensuring the smooth execution of youth-focused initiatives. The ideal candidate will be  passionate about empowering young people, skilled in team leadership and mentorship, and able to  drive impact through strong communication and organizational abilities. By providing strategic  direction and hands-on support, the Youth Coordinator will play a vital role in advancing the goals of  the YDP.  

Job Responsibilities:  

Program Management & Supervision  

  • Oversee all youth-related activities in the Mymensingh Division. 
  • Supervise and support Youth Coordinators in their daily operations. 
  • Ensure physical presence and regular monitoring of district-level events and campaigns.
  • Guide volunteers in implementing impactful and sustainable initiatives. 

Strategic Planning & Implementation  

  • Develop and manage budgets and plans for divisional youth programs and events.
  • Organize skill-building workshops and training sessions for Volunteer for Bangladesh (VBD) members. 
  • Ensure all programs align with JAAGO’s mission and objectives. 

Volunteer & Stakeholder Engagement  

  • Strengthen and expand the VBD network in schools, colleges, and universities.
  • Build communication bridges among the National, Divisional, and District Boards.
  • Collaborate with youth clubs, local organizations, and government bodies. 
  • Engage with volunteers through district visits and interactive sessions. 

Communication & Networking  

  • Coordinate local and national events hosted by the organization. 
  • Act as a representative of JAAGO Foundation at relevant community and youth events.
  • Maintain consistent communication with key partners and stakeholders. 

Monitoring & Reporting  

  • Ensure proper documentation and reporting of all district and divisional activities.
  • Track project milestones, campaign impact, and volunteer engagement outcomes.
  • Submit financial documentation and reports to JAAGO HQ as required.

Qualifications:

Education:  

  • Bachelor’s degree in Social Work, Education, Psychology, Mass Communication, Journalism, Public Relations, Social Sciences, or a related discipline. 

Experience:  

  • 1 to 3 years of relevant experience in youth-focused programs, including both professional and volunteer roles. 

Skills and other competencies:  

  • Proven leadership and team supervision capabilities. 
  • Strong interpersonal, communication, and networking skills. 
  • Working knowledge of office software and digital tools (e.g., Microsoft Office Suite).
  • Deep commitment to youth empowerment and community engagement. 
  • Ability to inspire, mentor, and lead diverse teams. 
  • High standards of integrity, accountability, and professionalism.
