Education Coordinator (Teacher’s Supervisor), Digital School Program
Position Summary
JAAGO Foundation has several schools, one of which is based in Rayerbazar, Dhaka. We are looking for an experienced and organised Education Coordinator to supervise the teachers and monitor the academic growth of the students of the school.
The Coordinator will ensure that lessons are effective, teachers are supported, and students of pre-primary and primary grades receive quality education.
Job Responsibilities
Monitoring and Evaluation (40%):
- Ensure proper learning activities by lesson plan and related material checking.
- Ensure a proper learning environment by class observation.
- Regular monitoring of planned activities by checking related records/documentations and providing a report on the progress of poor students.
- Regular grade average checks of chapter end tests and other sudden/quarter tests to plan for further improvement and timely reporting.
- Ensure online and offline teachers’ deliverables of additional need-based tasks.
- Regular random Checking of teachers’ attendance.
- Regular Student attendance checks to flag problems, to find solutions with the related team, and to keep the attendance average above or equal to 80%.
- Ensure the school environment is maintained as per guidelines and consequences placed.
Program Development (30%):
- Improving the quality of education by providing timely feedback to teachers on lesson plans and classroom activity-related matters.
- Plan, modify and ensure the gradual improvement of poor students to have the minimum number of poor students in the next session.
- Ensuring teachers’ professional improvement through capacity building sessions.
- Ensure a standard subject-wise grade average set by the supervisor.
- Plan and build relationships between teachers and stakeholders to ensure a good learning environment.
- Professional self-improvement under the supervision of supervisor.
- Recruitment of quality teachers/staff.
Program Operations (25%):
- Need-based monitoring to ensure established branch requirements and activities.
- Provide support or ensure co-curricular activities/academic/national day events.
- Ensure mid-session/session end requirements.
- Respond to and resolve problems of team and staff members.
- Necessary support to CWT, Admin and HR, and ensure involvement in related events or activities.
Any Other Business (5%):
- Ensuring proper documentation of necessary records under the supervisor's instruction.
- Any other official task assigned by the supervisor or required by the organisation.
Qualifications
Educational Qualification:
- Minimum bachelor’s degree in any discipline. A major in Education, Early Childhood Development or English will get preference.
Experience:
- Minimum 2 years of experience in the relevant field. Experience in teaching in the Bangladeshi curriculum (English version) in the Primary section will be an advantage.
Additional Requirements:
- Candidate should have excellent communication skills both in English & Bangla (Speaking and Writing).
- Have the leadership skills to motivate and manage teachers.
- Have excellent knowledge of the Primary Education curriculum.
- Good knowledge of online communication platforms, Google Docs and spreadsheets.
- Has to be proactive, self-motivating and hardworking.
- Ability to work under pressure.
